Description

 

One of a group of town houses built only a couple of years ago the communal gardens are immaculate with views of the beach and out to sea. There is an enclosed communal jacuzzi and 25m pool with seasonal lifeguard. The longitude and latitude details are 36 17 44 67 N and 6 06 49 47 W.

This beautifully furnished and fully equipped, spacious [170m2] house has great sea views from all the terraces and the private garden [85m2]. It is in a glorious setting beside the Cala de Quinto which is just beyond Fuente del Gallo/Fontanilla beach.

The house is beautifully appointed and furnished. There is a central courtyard [with sun awning] and a superb roof terrace plus a terrace for the master bedroom and third bedroom. In the private garden is a wide terrace with sun awning. There is a flat screen TV in the lounge and also in the master bedroom.

There are three bedroom and three bathrooms [two ensuite]. On the ground floor on the left is the second bedroom with twin beds and an ensuite bathroom. Next on the left is the spacious and well equipped kitchen which overlooks the internal patio; further along is a large living/dining room with doors to the garden terrace at one end and doors to the internal patio at the other end.

On the first floor at the front overlooking the countryside with a small terrace is the third bedroom and a full bathroom next door.

Also on the first floor is the master bedroom with large double bed and ensuite bathroom. Patio doors lead to a large terrace [complete with sun loungers and sun awning] overlooking the beach.

Up a flight of stairs is the roof terrace overlooking the communal gardens and pool, the beach of Cala del Quinto and far reaching views out to sea..

Fuente del Sol overlooks the pretty Cala de Quinto which at low tide links to a series of beaches to and beyond Conil. It is the most idyllic location with uninterrupted views to the sea and the beach. Fuente del Sol is on the Atlantic coast about three miles from Conil and 35km south of the historic town of Cadiz with its cathedral, squares full of people, theatre and flamenco clubs.

Both Jerez with its sherry bodegas & horses and Seville with its Giralda & Alcazar are not far away.

Just inland is the fertile coastal LaJanda plain beyond which are the Sierras and Natural Parks such as the Alcornocales - the home of cork oaks, Griffon Vultures, eagles and other birds of prey. Here too are the villages of Alcala de los Gazules, Benalup, Medina Sidonia, Arcos, Vejer, Grazalema and Zahara de la Sierra.

There are some good restaurants nearby: El Timon at Roche, 'El Rezon' on the road to Fontanilla, Francisco's on the beach at Fontanilla and many more in Conil. Just down the road in Vejer is El Jardin del Calipha which is a good Moroccan restaurant set in interesting surroundings. Also near to Vejer in the village of Santa Lucia is La Castilleria - an open-air restaurant.

Further down the coast near Bolonia is the ruined garum producing Roman town of Baelo Claudia. The ruins have been extensively excavated and the museum is very interesting. Bolonia is on a beautiful bay [with the only moving sand dune in Europe] and the chiringuitos and beach restaurants are perfect for a fish lunch.

This area is so full of things to do and places to explore or just to relax.

Chiclana is the main town and has a great covered food market. The nearest shopping area is Conil or El Colorado.

Other Activities include sea kayaking, tennis and paddle tennis, horse riding, body boarding and kite surfing.

Golf: Novo Sancti Petri

Mar-Pinos Course: The Mar-Pinos consists of two distinctly differing nine-hole loops, which together form a challenging 6,642 layout. The opening half may be relatively open, but the three lakes mean that trouble is never far away. The highlight is the signature 6th hole, where the tricky putting surface is perched on the edge of the beach. On the closing stretch there is no water to avoid, but the fairways are bordered by mature pine trees, making accuracy absolutely essential.

Centro Course: Novo Sancti Petri's second course is called the Centro, and is equally as good as the Mar-Pinos. The most striking feature is the S-shaped bunker that guards the finishing hole, which is a tribute to designer Ballesteros. The front nine is relatively flat, but negotiating the lake which guards one corner of the course is a tough proposition. The closing holes are a tougher walk, but the views from the peaks make all the effort worthwhile.

El Campano

This testing but fair par 70 18 hole course set partly in an olive plantation and partly amongst pine trees has plenty of water features which are present on almost every hole [two lakes, duck pond, streams and a winterbourne].

Montenmedio

This a classic parkland course with the local terrain creating challenging, interesting and beautiful holes..

Benalup

This is a Par 73, including 5 pars 5 6073m natural course with various lakes - a real challenge for all types of players.
